Who we are
Marius Ciprian — Founder
In 2015, in Nuvolera near Brescia, Casa Arancina took shape out of something that had been building for a while: a passion for the German Shepherd that simply demanded an outlet. It wasn't a business plan, and it wasn't an attempt to ride a market trend — it grew out of a genuine, long-standing connection to the breed.
Marius Ciprian, who founded the kennel, spends time with the dogs every single day — and not just feeding and walking them. Training sessions, temperament assessments, fieldwork: that hands-on involvement shapes every choice made about which dogs to breed.
This isn't a commercial operation — it runs on a set of values: balance, health, and the role the dog plays in a person's life. Industrial-scale breeding has no place here. When we use the word "kennel," it refers strictly to an FCI-registered affix.
Love without words
Children love animals and vice versa
Pets and children share a special bond built on love and loyalty. This bond brings joy and confidence into children's lives, contributing to their emotional and social development. At the same time, pets offer children a sense of comfort and security. Through their mere presence, children feel surrounded by love and support. HOW WE WORK
Our Approach to Working the Dogs
What separates a breeder who genuinely cares about the breed from one just capitalizing on it usually comes down to the details — and one telling detail is what a breeder actually does with their dogs beyond the breeding program itself.
IGP, Protection and Tracking
Casa Arancina's dogs are put through disciplines that test precisely the traits the breed was originally bred for — courage, steady nerves, working drive, and obedience even under pressure.
IGP (Internationale Gebrauchshund Prüfung) brings together tracking, obedience and protection work in a single test, and it stands as the international benchmark for proving a dog carries the breed's true character. What we learn from that fieldwork feeds directly into every breeding decision we make.
Collaborations with recognized European kennels
We've built relationships with some of the most respected kennels across Europe, founded on mutual respect, aligned standards and results proven in competition. The bloodlines we're able to access, with genuine international pedigrees, aren't things you find in a catalog — they're the product of years actively invested in this world.
SELECTION PHILOSOPHY
How we select
Choosing which dogs to breed is the single decision with the most lasting impact on a kennel's future, which is exactly why every pairing gets treated as something that can't be undone.
Selection standards
Casa Arancina applies the SV Germany selection standards, operating out of Nuvolera (BS) in keeping with the Italian reference bodies ENCI and SAS. Every dog in active breeding holds:
- ✦HD/ED dysplasia certification, A or B rating
- ✦An officially registered DNA test
- ✦Breeding rights recognized under the FCI standard
- ✦An authentic FCI pedigree with a verifiable family tree
What zero compromises means to us
Beauty or availability alone never earns a dog a place in our breeding program. A dog breeds only once the data backs it up — HD/ED results, inbreeding coefficient, titles already in the line, and temperament we've evaluated ourselves.
Data-driven selection
Every pairing is recorded and reviewed against inbreeding coefficient, HD/ED results, titles earned and longevity within the line.
Holistic rearing — ENS Protocol
Puppies are raised indoors, handled daily and exposed to a range of stimuli starting in their first week, with the ENS protocol followed consistently and documented for each individual puppy.
Total transparency
Test results, pedigrees and the conditions dogs are raised in are all open to inspection — there's nothing kept out of view.
OFFICIAL ACCREDITATION
FCI Affix — Casa Arancina
An affix is the officially registered kennel name recognized internationally by the FCI (Fédération Cynologique Internationale) — something not every breeder actually holds.
Marius Ciprian owns Casa Arancina and holds the official FCI-registered affix, issued under the auspices of the national Kennel Club.

COLLABORATIONS
European Kennels, International Bloodlines
Casa Arancina has spent years cultivating relationships with breeders and kennels across Germany and other European countries with a long history in German Shepherd breeding.
One such relationship is with Allevamento von Hingabe, a well-established kennel in the Nuvolera (BS) area — the source of breeding dogs including Oxa von Hingabe, and a partnership built on trust and a shared love for the breed.
None of these partnerships are purely transactional; they rest on shared respect for the breed and matching selection standards. In return, we gain access to bloodlines with verified international results and genealogical detail that never makes it into public catalogs.
Whatever line a dog comes from, entry into our program means the same evaluation everyone else goes through — HD/ED, DNA, temperament, inbreeding coefficient. A prestigious pedigree earns no exemptions.
